overview

What it's all about

Luna Coffee is a neighborhood coffee shop in Dublin, Ireland celebrating its 4-year anniversary in November. In support of that milestone, the owner wanted to do a top to bottom rebrand: interior, new logo, colours, website, menu, products, signage, font, everything.
A new shop is opening next year, and will feature the same branding and design throughout.

how we did it

Over the course of a few months working closely together, we ended up with 2 hand-drawn logos and a complete rebrand which included colours, fonts, and applications of all of the above. I redid the shop's menu, the labels for all food products sold in shop, designed bags for pastries and goods, a new tote, and multiple cup designs both to-go and keep. The Wordpress website was redone entirely, and social media was updated to match.
The interior and exterior redesign was done in tandem with the rebrand - helping to choose colours, signage, and fittings.

Logos

The original logo was a girl holding a coffee cup that was sourced off Canva - we knew we wanted to maintain the "Luna gal" look and feel, but turn the quirk factor up by about 10. Each aspect of the logos is highly customized - from the hair down to the outfit. We use the cream logo as the main, with the cup option as a secondary.

Brand Guide

A big part of this project was the brand guide that resulted out of the rebranding. A guide to carry the shop forward in consistency as it embarks on its next location. Colours, fonts, look and feel, pantone swatches, etc.. everything is laid out in a way that will allow the owner to expand indefinitly.

Menu

The menu is redesigned to be easy to read, unobtrusive, and customizable via a seasonal specials and staff picks section. It draws together the colours for the brand in one place, and simplifies a complex set of offerings.
